The nearest airport is in Hinoo which is only about 7 km away from the center of the city. The nearest railway station is in Hatia and Ranchi is well-connected to major Indian cities through the railways. The roadways are also excellent and well connected to the rest of India allowing you to travel from anywhere. The roadways connect major cities in Jharkhand and Bihar such as Dhanbad, Bokaro, Chaibasa, and so on, you can even take a bus from Kolkata to Ranchi.

There are no direct flights into Jamshedpur since this city does not have a civil airport. The nearest airport is in Ranchi which is about 150 km away from the city. Tatanagar is a renowned and very important railway station in Jamshedpur and most mail and express trains pass through this stop. Once you get down at the railway station, there are ample, buses, taxis, and even rickshaws that can take you to the city center. The roadways connect Hazaribagh to all major cities in Jharkhand as well as to major cities outside such as Patna in Bihar, Bhubaneshwar in Orissa, and many parts of Bengal. Deogarh

The tranquillity of the environment in Deogarh is exceptional and is one of the main reasons why it attracts hordes of tourists every year. Another reason why Deogarh is such a popular tourist site is because of the plentiful temples making it an ideal place for religious tourism among the Hindus. Most of the temples in Deogarh are dedicated to Lord Shiva which too attracts lots of tourists. Has constructed impressive roadways that easily connect Deogarh to the rest of Jharkhand, and hence the rest of the country.

Giridih

Before 1972. Giridih used to be a part of Hazaribagh. However, it now exists as a separate city and is most well-known for the mines that are spread throughout the city. These mines are covered in lush green vegetation making Giridih an awesome place to visit and have a change of air.  Giridih has many hills and mountains in and around the city and is often referred to as the Land of Hills this place also holds a very special significance among Jain pilgrims and thus attracts thousands of such pilgrims everywhere. Another common name for Giridih is the Land of Hain Pilgrims because of the high intensity of such pilgrims available here. This is a very peaceful place with the most photogenic hills and forests surrounding you.

If you are planning on a trip to Giridih from within Jharkhand or from outside the state, using the railways is the best option for you. Giridih is connected to Madhupur through a single line of broad gauge and it takes about an hour to commence between the two stops. G.T. Road or the NH 19 passes right through Giridih making it easily accessible through roadways too. Government buses leave Giridih and connect the major cities in Jharkhand. You can also avail private and shared cars to reach Giridih from major stops in Jharkhand and also from Bengal, Orissa, and Bihar.

If you are a photographer or a nature lover who wants to lose themselves in the midst of nature, then Giridih is the place for you. Parashnath Hills is a lovely place to visit and so is the Usri Fall. The latter is going to give you some memorable times in Giridih. The Khandoli Park is attractive and the dam here gives it a further interesting turn. Madhuvan is lovely and quiet allowing you some time alone, all to yourself, to relax and spent how you like. The Surya and Devari temples are interesting holy sites that you can visit while staying in Giridih. Al in all, if you really want to move far, far away from the maddening crowd and bustle of daily city life, there could be no place as awesome as Giridih.

Dhanbad

Dhanbad is abundant in coal mines and is rightly called the coal capital of India. It is also one of the cities that is growing at the fastest rate in the country. The regular advancement of the city coupled with scenic locations makes Dhanbad a remarkable place to visit. This gives you a huge range of opportunities to travel into Dhanbad from these places. This also shows that Dhanbad is very well-connected by roadways from all sides within as well as outside the state. Nearly all the trains that have to pass through this route have a halt in Dhanbad making it well connected through railways too!

Bokaro

Bokaro, the Steel City of India, is known for the many industries that deal in coal and steel in India. It shows a vibrant metropolitan lifestyle and is quite an advanced city. Do not think that the only thing that you can get at Bokaro and huge industries since this place is surrounded by many natural sites. You may also travel by air but in that case, you have to get down at Ranchi airport which is 122 km away from Bokaro. The railway station at Bokaro Steel City is just 12 km away from the main city center allowing you easy access into the city.
